Our Ratha Yatra parade at this year’s Pol’and’Rock Festival goes up and down the main road of the event for 4 hours each day. Everyone sees us and most important Lord Jagannath sees everyonel. That is the true spirit of Ratha Yatra. The crowds love the chariot parade as witnessed by the hundreds of people who join in each time. A constant flood of mercy here in Poland by Srila Prabhupada’s grace. It was he who brought this all-auspicious event to the western world. Jaya Jagannath!

The Bernina railway sets a few records, including being the highest railway alpine crossing in Europe (2253m), the highest adhesion railway of the continent, the open air railway with the greatest height difference (1824m) and furthermore one of the steepest adhesion railways (conventional railway without cogs) worldwide, with gradients of up to 7%.
The gradients are included in the upper right corner in the same format as they appear to the driver. The arrow indicates whether the gradient is up or down, the larger number is the promille value (1/10 of 1%) and the smaller number indicates the distance of the gradient in meters. You will also see station names with their altitude, tunnel and bridge names with their length and year of construction — as well as other interesting information along the way to improve your viewing experience.
A unique aspect of Switzerlands narrow gauge mountain railways is the mixing of passenger and freight wagons in a single train, with wagons often added or removed at intermediate stops with shunting locomotives. On the Bernina line, the cargo mostly consists of wood on stake cars and derivatives of oil in tank cars. Today we take a wagon with us from Pontresina to Poschiavo with good for a Coop supermarket.

A trek to Lo Manthang, Mustang, Nepal via Nar and the Teri La: 6-28/10/18. After a bus ride from Kathmandu to Jagat we followed the busy Annapurna Circuit for 2 days to Koto. We turned turned off into the less frequented Nar Phu area, staying two nights in the village of Nar. Crossing the 5595m Teri La into Mustang, we stopped at Tangge before finally reaching the walled city of Lo Manthang on the 14th day of walking. To return we took 4x4 cars for two days down to Jomsom, then the scenic mountain flights back to Kathmandu via Pokhara.
Views of the Himalayan mountains, including some of the 8000m peaks, stunning panoramas across the multi-coloured rock formations of Mustang, old mountain villages, and glimpses of the flora and fauna along the way.
The trip was booked through KE Adventure Travel in the UK, using Thamserku as the ground agents in Nepal.

Filmed by her husbands younger brother, phagspadongrub, in Amdo, the film concentrates on the daily life of Tibetan village women--fetching water, feeding livestock (swine, a cow, a mule), milking, cleaning the stables, cooking, household religious activity, weeding fields, transporting manure to fields, fetching wood for fuel--along with commentary by Sgrolmamtsho about her life and family.
