Himalayan forests are home to abundant biodiversity. Forests play an important role in the livelihoods of rural people worldwide, particularly in the poorest socio-economic groups (i.e., indigenous peoples, peasant communities, tribal and rural societies) living in and around forested areas. In this film we follow a group of Kham Magars from Mid-Western Nepal that set on a journey to the high Himalayas to gather wood for building a village house. The wood was collected at the altitude of 3500m (11500ft) above the village of Maikot in Rukum District.

We trace the elementary power of nature and present animals and plants in landscapes that have hardly ever been touched by mankind. Switzerland is an alpine country, but it is also Europes surge tank. Rivers such as the Rhine and the Rhone have their sources here. Glaciers, crevasses, icy cold caves and the underwater dome of the Verzasca are the unusual settings we chose for this film. We meet with rare, selected animal species and present their behavioural patterns, such as the Swiss or Arven jay, the lynx and albino catfish. Cold, wind, snow and extreme locations demand adaptation that make us marvel.

During Kartika our parikrama party visited Jaipur, deep in the desert of Rajasthan, where we took darshan of Radha Govinda, the worshipable deities of Srila Rupa Goswami. Each morning thousands of citizens run to the temple for arotika and sing praises of the deities for hours. Many return to the temple in the evening as well. Radha Govinda are literally the center of people’s lives in Jaipur. The devotion of the citizens towards the deities is contagious! We also visited the historic deities of Radha Gopinath, Radha Damodar and Radha Vinode. On our final day, we went to Amer Fort on the outskirts of the city. There we had an enthusiastic kirtan for all to see! We look forward to one day again visiting the famous, City Of Victory!

Another Saturday weekend night spent between Asok and Nana. Have a look at many night scenes in Bangkok.
There are not many customers at the bars or along the streets in general. I walk along Sukumvit and soi Cowboy.
The new bar complex at Sukhumvit soi 7 (named Nana Plaza @7) seems to have more people inviting you for a drink and some customers playing pool.
Soi Cowboy has some people in the open air bars but the gogo looks kinda empty inside.
Without any tourists, it seems things are far from going back to normal.
Prices are still high, so not many expats are going out to drink at Nana or Cowboy. It seems mostly only the more normal bars and clubs are preferred.
